AAMT 2026 Key Visual

Asia-Pacific Association for Machine Translation
April 17, 2026

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support of the activities of our association.
Our association celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. To commemorate this milestone, we will hold AAMT 2026, NARA under the theme of “New Co-evolution of Translation and Humans for the LLM Era,” with an international track on Sunday, September 13 and a Japanese track on Monday, September 14 at the Todaiji Cultural Center in Nara. The event will be held in a hybrid format, featuring online live streaming in addition to the in-person conference.

At the international track, we will have keynote speeches by Jun’ichi Tsujii, Ph.D., Fellow at the Artificial Intelligence Research Center, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, and Sadao Kurohashi, Ph.D., Director General, National Institute of Informatics. Furthermore, we will invite excellent speakers from a wide range of fields, including natural language processing, industrial translation and machine interpretation, to share their insights on the challenges and future initiatives of machine translation. We hope for your active participation.

Lastly, we look forward to seeing you at the international track and the Japanese track (also serving as our annual meeting), at the venue or through livestream.
